Now, children’s rights to a clean and healthy environment are protected and the Montana government must consider climate science and not infringe these rights when permitting fossil fuels projects (Read our press release. Years ago, I thought about my legacy and the world I would leave behind for my then 7-year-old niece. So, I left my federal government job to save the planet, its people and animals. After working on legislative campaigns to ban fracking and increase clean energy in my home state of Maryland, I was drawn to the mission to secure children's legal rights to a safe, livable climate. At the time, it seemed like a DREAM TO ACHIEVE - but with our inspiring youth plaintiffs, the dedicated staff and government affairs interns at Our Children's Trust, and supporters around the world, like you, it isn't! 

NOW THE DREAM HAS BECOME A REALITY!

So, we need your help more than ever as we face another 4 more years of climate regress. I often meet young people who ask me to sue their government. It is hard to tell them to just wait until we file a lawsuit in their state. We need critical funding now to bring them hope…faster! 

Every dollar I raise will help OCT provide free legal services to children across the world to secure their rights to a livable climate! Our renowned experts also work pro bono. Today two billion children’s lives are threatened physically and mentally by the climate crisis. Together, we can change that.
