My time with Freedom School has been a profound influence on how I view the world, particularly when it comes to the intersection of children’s futures and the health of our environment. Working with young minds, I saw how eager they are to learn and how much they care about their communities. It became clear to me that the future of our children is inextricably linked to the world around them. When we protect the environment, we are also protecting their futures; their right to breathe clean air, drink safe water, and grow up in a world that is vibrant and full of opportunity.
 

CDFs Freedom Schools taught me that when we invest in children, we invest in a better tomorrow. That’s why I’m so passionate about my work with Our Children's Trust. By safeguarding our planet today, we are ensuring that the next generation (especially those in marginalized communities) can thrive in a world where they can live, learn, and grow without the looming threat of environmental destruction.
